Global Standard ECDL/ICDL

The ECDL/ICDL is internationally recognised as the global standard for End-User Computer skills, and is widely adopted by governments, international organisations and corporations alike. The unrivalled quality of the certificate and its vendor-neutral status coupled with the unique social ethos of the ECDL Foundation makes the ECDL/ICDL the natural choice for governments and international organisations worldwide. For example:

    

  • ​The European Commision ESDIS Committee recommended that the ECDL "be accepted as a Europe-wide basic IT accreditation scheme".​
  • ​UNESCO not only endorses the ECDL/ICDL, but also operates as in ICDL Licensee in the Middle East.​
